For a long time, new coffee machines at Orlen stations have a very interesting option that allows checking current promotions. Unfortunately, no promotion appears when you press the red button. Probably not because there is no promotion, but because that this feature does not work.
It is worth to remember about a few standards:
- If you have new functionalities that do not work, it is best to temporarily remove them. Building a new interest after negative customer experience is very difficult.
- All information about promotions, it is much more efficient to automatically show on the display than to wait for the client to act. For example, Lidl recently introduced new cash registers, where next to the visible receipt, you can see promotions straight away.
- Digitalization is a very valuable marketing communication tool that enables fast, flexible and low-cost communication to the client.
So far, the biggest barrier to development was the centralization and automation of content transfer to screens, but we are witnessing the dissemination of this technology. Probably soon also at Orlen we will see promotions and other messages on the screens of coffee machines.
